Day trip to Peñíscola I

We'll visit Peñíscola which is an historical walled-in-city, built on a rock that juts out into the sea. We’ll spend the day at the beach where we’ll eat lunch, then we’ll visit the castle which once belonged to the religious order of the Templar Knights. This castle was the Holy See of "Papa Luna" (Benedict XIII, the anti-Pope of his time) during the Western Schism.

We will be back in the city between 7:30 – 8 p.m.

No charge for this trip except for personal expenses.

Have your family pack you a lunch.

Take your beach gear!

Participation in this trip is exclusively by assignment.

We’ll meet at 10:30 a.m. at Avenida de Aragón, Mestalla (Soccer stadium).

This activity is open to students of the UVA in Valencia and MSU program.

Activity dates and hours could be subject to change.
